Vegan onion bhaji

I have always wanted to make my own bhaji, but never got around to making them, until now!vegan onion bhaji

They are very simple to make.

What you will need;

  • 1 litre of sunflower oil
  • gram flour
  • 2-5 onion (2 large, 3 medium or 5 small)
  • 1 or 2 chillies (optional)
  • turmeric
  • salt (to taste)

vegan onion bhaji mixture

Recipe:

Firstly chop the onions then mix 1 and 1/4 cups of gram flour in with the onion.

Add 1 tsp of turmeric to the mixture

Add 1 or 2 finely chopped chillies to the mixture.

Then slowly add water to the mixture (approx 1/2 cup)

Mix well.

 

 

Frying:

Put  the sunflower oil into a high frying pan and heat.

Place 2/3 blobs of mixture into the pan for 2-3 mins until golden brown.

Serve with mint sauce and or mango chutney.
